Thousands have been injured in Lebanon following a series of explosions caused by detonating pagers, suspected to be an israeli attack.
The incidents occurred in various locations throughout Lebanon, leading to widespread panic and chaos. Eyewitness accounts describe scenes of destruction and fear as the explosions took place, causing injuries to civilians and damaging property. Initial rumours suggested that a software hack caused the batteries to explode. However this is unlikely as batteries set on fire instead of explode. It is most likely that israel infiltrated and supplied the group with explosive laden devices.
Local authorities have mobilized emergency services to assist those injured and assess the extent of the damage. Hospitals are overwhelmed with casualties and the Lebanese government has condemned the attacks, labeling them as acts of aggression aimed at destabilizing the country.
In response to the violence, Hezbollah has vowed to retaliate against the perpetrators, emphasizing the need for unity among Lebanese factions in the face of external threats. This incident is seen as part of a broader pattern of aggression by the Israeli regime, which continues to provoke instability in the region through its military actions and support for violence against Lebanon.
As the situation develops, international observers are calling for an urgent ceasefire and negotiations to prevent further escalation of hostilities. The community in Lebanon remains on high alert, bracing for potential retaliatory strikes and further violence as tensions continue to simmer in the region.
