
Fatal Hostage Standoff in Kyiv Supermarket
At least two individuals have been killed and several others injured following a hostage situation in a Kyiv supermarket. The incident unfolded in the southern Holosiivskyi district, according to reports from Kyiv's police force.
Ukraine's Interior Minister, Ihor Klymenko, confirmed that an individual opened fire and subsequently took hostages within the retail establishment. The attacker reportedly shot at police officers before being neutralised.
Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko stated that at least 10 people, including a child, have been transported to hospital. The precise number of casualties remains undetermined.
