Kyiv Missile Attack Kills Ten, Ukraine Cites Critical Air Defence Interceptor Shortage

A recent Russian missile attack on Kyiv killed ten civilians, according to Ukrainian authorities. The incident has intensified calls for increased Western military aid, particularly advanced air defence systems and interceptor missiles, which Ukraine states are critically depleted.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed that Ukraine currently holds only 25% of the air defence systems required to adequately protect its urban centres. This deficit, he argued, leaves Ukrainian cities vulnerable to Russian aerial bombardment, directly resulting in civilian casualties and infrastructure damage.
