Latvian National Charged with Causing Keaton Slater's Death by Dangerous Driving After Extradition

Janis Karman, 22, was extradited from Latvia to the UK on Wednesday to face charges relating to the death of Keaton Slater. The 12-year-old boy was killed in a hit-and-run incident in Radford, Coventry, on Friday, 14 June, prompting a significant police investigation.

Mr Karman is specifically charged with causing death by dangerous driving, causing death by driving whilst uninsured, and failing to stop after a road traffic collision. These charges stem from the incident where Keaton Slater was struck by a BMW, which subsequently failed to remain at the scene.
