Lee Inglis Admits Hawick Murder of Stacey Hogg Following New Relationship
Lee Inglis, 31, has admitted to the murder of his former partner, Stacey Hogg, 34, in Hawick. The High Court in Edinburgh heard that Inglis stabbed Ms Hogg repeatedly at her home on 18 January, following her decision to enter a new relationship.
Despite a non-harassment order being in place, Inglis had reportedly been sending Ms Hogg numerous messages after their separation. On the day of the murder, Ms Hogg had informed Inglis that she was beginning a new relationship. He subsequently travelled to her property, forced entry, and fatally attacked her.
Emergency services found Ms Hogg with multiple stab wounds. Inglis was apprehended later that day. The court was told the attack was pre-meditated, with Inglis having equipped himself with a knife before confronting Ms Hogg. His sentencing has been deferred to a later date, awaiting further reports.
