Search Continues for Two Missing Fishermen Off Lewis After One Fatality

A search operation is ongoing off the Isle of Lewis after a fishing vessel failed to return to harbour. One man has been confirmed dead, while two other crew members remain unaccounted for following the incident.

The alarm was raised when the boat, which had been expected back in Stornoway, did not arrive as planned. Multiple assets, including coastguard teams, RNLI lifeboats, and aircraft, have been deployed to the area to conduct extensive searches.

Details surrounding the vessel and the circumstances of the incident are currently limited, with authorities focusing on the urgent recovery of the missing individuals. Local fishing communities on Lewis have expressed profound concern as the search enters its second day.
