UK Service Member Dies in Ukraine Road Traffic Collision, Ministry of Defence Confirms
A British service member has died in a road traffic collision in Ukraine, the Ministry of Defence (MoD) confirmed. The incident, which occurred off-duty, was not the result of hostile action.

The MoD stated it was investigating the circumstances surrounding the death and would not be providing further details at this time.
“We can confirm the death of a serving member of the British armed forces in Ukraine,” an MoD spokesperson said. “We are supporting the individual’s family and have launched an investigation into the circumstances of this tragic accident.”
It is understood the individual was not engaged in official British military operations in Ukraine at the time of their death. The UK Government maintains an advisory against all travel to Ukraine.
