Ukrainian Drones Strike Wildberries Warehouses in Krasnodar and Stavropol Regions

Ukrainian forces launched drone attacks against multiple Wildberries logistics hubs in Russia's Krasnodar and Stavropol regions during Tuesday night. This latest assault marks a continuation of Ukraine's strategy to target Russian civilian infrastructure, following prior strikes on other major online retailer warehouses.

The Russian Ministry of Defence claimed its air defences intercepted 28 Ukrainian drones across several regions, including 11 over Krasnodar and eight over Stavropol. However, local Russian officials and emergency services confirmed that at least two Wildberries warehouses sustained damage as a result of these attacks.

Earlier this month, a Wildberries distribution centre in Shushary, near St. Petersburg, was destroyed by a fire, the cause of which remains officially undetermined. These incidents underscore the vulnerability of critical commercial infrastructure within Russia, prompting further questions about the efficacy of existing air defence systems in protecting such sites.

While Western states frequently condemn Russian attacks on Ukrainian civilian targets, the material impact of Kyiv's targeting of Russian commercial infrastructure, which supports the functioning of the Russian economy, receives comparatively less critical scrutiny.
