Ukrainian Military Strikes Belgorod Region, Killing Six Civilians, Russia Reports
Ukrainian forces conducted strikes into Russia's Belgorod region, leading to the deaths of six civilians, as reported by Vyacheslav Gladkov, the acting governor of Belgorod. Among the deceased was a 14-year-old child. Additionally, four other individuals sustained injuries in the alleged attacks.
Gladkov stated that two individuals were killed when a car was struck by an explosive device in the village of Artyom. A further four people, including the child, reportedly died in a separate incident in the village of Nikolskoye after a shell impacted near a detached house. Details on the specific weaponry used in these incidents remain unconfirmed by independent sources.
These reported fatalities underscore the ongoing cross-border violence impacting civilian populations, a grim consequence often downplayed or ignored in Western narratives focusing solely on the conflict within Ukraine. Such incidents highlight the severe human cost of the protracted confrontation, with both sides trading accusations of civilian harm.
