Amina Sani Struck Off Care Register for Threatening 81-Year-Old Patient

Amina Sani, a care worker, has been formally struck off the care register after an investigation found she verbally abused and threatened an 81-year-old patient. The Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) ruled that Ms Sani, who is Nigerian, threatened the elderly man with police involvement and also threatened to hit him during her care duties.

The NMC's Fitness to Practise Committee concluded that Ms Sani's conduct amounted to serious misconduct, which necessitated her removal from the register. The decision underscores the critical importance of maintaining professional standards and safeguarding vulnerable individuals within the care sector.
