Tim Westwood Faces Four New Sexual Offence Charges, Total Now 12

Former disc jockey Tim Westwood, 66, has been charged with four further sexual offences, bringing the total count of accusations against him to 12. The Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) announced these new charges, which encompass one count of indecent assault and three counts of sexual assault.

The alleged incidents span a period from 1983 to 2008. Specifically, the indecent assault charge is said to have occurred in London in 1983. The three new sexual assault charges are linked to alleged events in London in 2001, and in Sheffield in both 2006 and 2008.

Westwood is scheduled to appear at Westminster Magistrates' Court on 25th July. The previous eight charges, which were announced in September 2023, include a mixture of indecent assault and sexual assault. Those alleged offences were said to have taken place between 1982 and 2016 in London, Berkshire, and Northamptonshire.

These developments follow a joint investigation conducted by the Metropolitan Police and the West Midlands Police, which was launched in 2022 after multiple allegations were made public.
