British Father Admits Cyprus Hotel Fall Caused Son's Death

George Clark, a 34-year-old from Bristol, has admitted to causing the death of his son, Liam Clark, in Paphos, Cyprus. The two-year-old tragically fell from a second-storey window at the King Evelthon Hotel in Chloraka on 18th July. Mr Clark entered a guilty plea at Paphos District Court to a charge of causing death through careless or reckless acts.

Police Prosecutor Giorgos Hadjiyiannis stated that further charges related to drug possession, specifically cannabis, will be presented in a separate hearing on 15th December. The court was informed that toxicology reports from the UK indicated the presence of cannabis in Mr Clark's system at the time of the incident.

The family had been on a summer holiday when the fatal incident occurred. Following his plea, Mr Clark has been released on bail. The sentencing for the charge of causing death through carelessness has been scheduled for 29th December.
