Cold Weather Front Forecast Across UK for Bonfire Night Celebrations
The United Kingdom is set to experience a notable shift to colder weather ahead of Bonfire Night on 5 November. Meteorological predictions indicate that temperatures across the country will fall into single digits, with some areas likely to see overnight frosts as a cold front moves in.
Northern Regions to See Sharpest Drop
Northern England, Scotland, and Northern Ireland are expected to feel the chill most acutely. Daytime temperatures in these regions could struggle to reach 5 degrees Celsius, while evening celebrations will contend with temperatures near freezing.
Southern England Braces for Cooler Evening
Even in Southern England, which has enjoyed a relatively mild autumn, evening temperatures are anticipated to drop considerably, potentially hovering around 3 to 6 degrees Celsius. Attendees of fireworks displays and bonfires are advised to prepare for the colder conditions, with warm clothing strongly recommended.
This change marks a distinct departure from the milder weather experienced earlier in the week, signalling the onset of more typical late-autumn conditions for the traditional annual commemorations.
