George Gordon Allegedly Concealed Woman's Body in Freezer for Three Years
A man is standing trial, accused of murdering a woman and then concealing her body in a freezer for three years. George Gordon, 65, told Sheffield Crown Court that he killed Delia McInerney in self-defence, but denies the charge of murder.
The prosecution alleges that Mr Gordon stored Ms McInerney's body at a property on Farm View Road in Sheffield for an extended period. The court heard details of the discovery of Ms McInerney's remains by authorities.
Mr Gordon's defence maintains that the death occurred during an altercation, asserting that his actions were necessary for his own protection. The trial is continuing, with further evidence expected to be presented by both the prosecution and defence teams.
