
Green Councillor Siobhan Harper-Nunes Charged With Assaulting Five Individuals
Green Party councillor Siobhan Harper-Nunes has been charged with assaulting five individuals in Sheffield. South Yorkshire Police confirmed the charges, which include four counts of assault by beating of an emergency worker and one count of assault by beating.
The incidents allegedly occurred on 13 October and 19 November 2023. Two of the assault charges relate to the October incident, while the other three stem from the November events. Councillor Harper-Nunes, who represents the Firth Park ward on Sheffield City Council, has been released on bail and is scheduled to appear at Sheffield Magistrates' Court on 22 May.
South Yorkshire Police stated that the charges were authorised by the Crown Prosecution Service.
