Man Accused of Tasering, Rape, and Assault in Domestic Violence Case

A court has heard allegations that a woman was tasered, raped, and beaten by her former partner. The man, who is in his 40s and cannot be identified to protect the complainant's identity, faces a number of serious charges.

These charges include two counts of rape, one count of sexual assault, and two counts of assault by beating. Additionally, he is charged with possession of a prohibited weapon, specifically a Taser, which was allegedly used during the incident.

The court remanded the accused in custody. The case has been adjourned to a later date for further proceedings.
