PC Tom Clough Funeral Arrangements Confirmed by Family After A66 Crash

Police Constable Tom Clough, who died in a road collision on the A66 in Cumbria, will be laid to rest on 25th September. The funeral service is scheduled for 11:00 BST at Carlisle Cathedral. Cumbria Police confirmed the arrangements, noting that PC Clough’s family has requested privacy during the ceremony, which will be followed by a private burial.

PC Clough, aged 31, was a passenger in a marked police vehicle involved in a collision with a lorry on 21st September near the Warcop training area. The incident also claimed the life of his colleague, Police Constable Nick Dumphreys, whose funeral took place earlier this week.

Cumbria Police Chief Constable Michelle Skeer stated, "Our thoughts remain with Tom's family, friends, and colleagues during this incredibly difficult time. The outpouring of support from the public has been a source of comfort for the force and the families affected by this devastating loss." The Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) has initiated an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the collision.
