Hampshire Police have initiated an investigation into an altercation involving Cardiff City defender Krystian Bielik and a Portsmouth supporter. The incident took place during Portsmouth's 2-0 victory at Fratton Park on Saturday, shortly after Bielik was substituted in the 78th minute.
Reports indicate that Bielik, while exiting the pitch, had an exchange with a fan in the stand near the tunnel. Video footage circulating on social media platforms shows the player making contact with the individual before being swiftly moved away by stadium security personnel.
No arrests have been made in connection with the incident, but authorities confirmed that enquiries are ongoing. Both clubs have acknowledged the matter, with Cardiff City confirming their full cooperation with the police investigation.
The Football Association has also been informed of the occurrence and is expected to review the circumstances once the police investigation concludes.
