Robert Kenyon Confirmed Reform Candidate for Makerfield By-Election
Reform UK has formally selected Robert Kenyon as its candidate for the upcoming Makerfield by-election. Mr Kenyon, a self-employed plumber, previously contested the constituency in the 2024 general election, where he placed second behind Labour's Josh Simons.
The by-election was triggered by Mr Simons' resignation from Parliament, a move designed to facilitate Greater Manchester Mayor Andy Burnham's bid to contest the seat. Mr Burnham has since been confirmed as the Labour candidate.
Alongside Mr Kenyon and Mr Burnham, three other official candidates have been declared for the Makerfield contest.
