Search Teams Recover Items from Missing Fishing Vessel Off Lewis Coast
Search operations off the Isle of Lewis have yielded several items suspected to be from a missing fishing boat, raising continued concerns for the two crewmen still unaccounted for. Tam Murray, 40, and Murdo Morrison, 23, have been the subject of an extensive search since their vessel vanished from radar.
The discovery of these items comes after the body of a third crew member, Douglas Craigie, was found at sea. Authorities have not yet confirmed the precise nature of the recovered items or their direct connection to the missing boat, but investigations are ongoing.
HM Coastguard and other agencies have been involved in the search, which has covered a significant area of the waters around Lewis. The incident has cast a shadow over the local fishing community, highlighting the inherent risks faced by those working in the industry.
