
Teenager Released on Bail After Three Deaths in South Wales River Collision
A 17-year-old male has been released on police bail following his arrest in connection with a fatal incident in Porthcawl, South Wales. The teenager was questioned on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and driving a vehicle taken without consent. The incident, which occurred last Saturday, saw a car leave the road and enter the River Ogmore.
Emergency services responded to the scene on the A48, between Bridgend and Porthcawl, where three teenagers were recovered from the vehicle. Jackson Duke, aged 17, and Luke Etheridge and Zara Shaw, both 16, were all pronounced dead at the scene.
South Wales Police are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the collision. Authorities have appealed for any witnesses or individuals with relevant dash-cam footage to come forward to assist their enquiries.
