Tommy Robinson Disclosed Daily Mail Reporter's Family Images, London Court Hears
Tommy Robinson, whose real name is Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, stands trial at the Old Bailey, denying two counts of harassment. The prosecution detailed how Robinson allegedly targeted Daily Mail journalists after they published articles about his financial affairs and legal difficulties.
Reporter's Family Images Shared
Prosecutor Hermione Redgrave informed the court that Robinson used his online platforms, including Telegram, to reveal personal details of one reporter. This included the sharing of photographs depicting the journalist's wife and children. The court heard that Robinson encouraged his followers to identify the individuals in the images, leading to significant distress for the family involved.
A second Daily Mail reporter was also subjected to Robinson's alleged harassment. The court was told Robinson published details of this journalist's private life, including their home address and information about their previous employment. These actions, the prosecution argued, were designed to intimidate and silence critical reporting.
The trial continues, with Robinson maintaining his not guilty plea to both harassment charges.
