Travelodge Guest Suffers Bed Bug Attack at Euston Hotel, Seeks Redress

A woman has detailed a distressing encounter with bed bugs during her recent stay at a Travelodge establishment in Euston, central London. Hannah Stephenson, 31, a project manager, states she endured multiple bites across her legs, arms, and torso whilst a guest at the budget hotel.

Ms Stephenson discovered the infestation upon waking, noting the presence of small insects on her pillow and numerous red welts on her skin. She promptly reported the issue to hotel staff, who, according to her account, offered a refund for the single night's stay and a change of room. However, Ms Stephenson declined the alternative room, opting instead to leave the premises.

The visible bites have caused Ms Stephenson considerable embarrassment and self-consciousness, she explained. She has since sought medical advice for the irritation and potential health implications.

Travelodge management acknowledged the complaint, stating they are investigating the incident and are in direct communication with Ms Stephenson to resolve the matter. The chain maintains that pest control measures are regularly implemented across its properties to ensure guest comfort and hygiene.
