
14-Year-Old Lilly Jones Found Stabbed in South Wales Woodlands
A 14-year-old girl, Lilly Jones, was found fatally stabbed in woodlands near Rhoose, Vale of Glamorgan, on Friday morning. South Wales Police were called to the scene at approximately 08:30 BST following reports of a deceased female. Specialist officers have been deployed to support Lilly’s family.
In a statement, Lilly’s family paid tribute, remembering her as 'a beautiful, kind and caring daughter' who was 'completely and utterly herself'. They highlighted her 'eclectic taste in music' and her 'beautiful smile and infectious laugh' that 'lit up every room she entered'.
Detectives are urging anyone with information, particularly those who were in the Rhoose area on Thursday evening or Friday morning, to come forward. Police have also appealed for dash-cam or doorbell footage that could assist their investigation.
The force has maintained a significant police presence in Rhoose since the discovery. No arrests have been publicly announced as the inquiry progresses into the circumstances leading to Lilly Jones' death.
