
18-Year-Old Expedition Participant Dies During Duke of Edinburgh Event in Powys
An 18-year-old on a Duke of Edinburgh award expedition has died following an incident in Powys, Wales. The individual became unwell near Glasbury-on-Wye, prompting a significant emergency response on Sunday afternoon.
Dyfed-Powys Police, Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service, and Brecon Mountain Rescue Team were dispatched to the location after receiving reports of a medical emergency. Despite the extensive efforts of rescue personnel, the 18-year-old could not be resuscitated.
