
A484 Kidwelly Roundabout Bus Crash Injures 10 Children, Declared Major Incident
A bus carrying 45 schoolchildren overturned near the A484 Kidwelly roundabout in Carmarthenshire, resulting in injuries to 10 children and two adults. Emergency services were dispatched to the scene following the incident, which Dyfed-Powys Police declared a major incident.
The Welsh Ambulance Service confirmed that nine children were transported to Glangwili Hospital in Carmarthen, while another child was taken to Prince Philip Hospital in Llanelli. Both adult casualties also received hospital treatment for their injuries. Police confirmed that no fatalities occurred in the crash.
Fire crews from Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service were also in attendance, utilising specialist rescue equipment to assist those trapped within the vehicle. A police spokesperson urged the public to avoid the area as investigation and recovery operations continued.
