Apple Unveils Radical Folding iPhone Design, Doubling Base Model Cost to £1,999

Apple’s latest product launch has revealed a radically redesigned iPhone featuring a folding display. This marks the most substantial alteration to the iPhone’s form factor since its initial release 17 years ago, moving away from the familiar slab design.

The new device unfolds from a compact square, reminiscent of a retro flip phone, into a full-sized smartphone. This innovative approach aims to offer users both portability and an expansive screen experience.

However, the technological leap comes with a significant price tag. The folding iPhone is set to retail at £1,999, which represents a doubling of the cost compared to the entry-level iPhone 15. This pricing strategy positions the device at the premium end of the market, potentially limiting its initial accessibility.
