England Introduces 14-Year-Old Entry for Technical Courses in AI and Manufacturing

New technical education routes are set to become available to 14-year-olds in England, with a pilot scheme scheduled to launch in September 2025. These pathways will concentrate on equipping pupils with skills in fields identified as crucial for local economies, including Artificial Intelligence and advanced manufacturing.

The Department for Education confirmed that the initial phase will see up to 15 educational institutions participate.
