
Enzo Bettamio Charged with Kamonnan Thiamphanit Murder After UAE Extradition
Enzo Bettamio, 18, faces a murder charge in connection with the death of Kamonnan Thiamphanit, 27, in Westminster. Bettamio was extradited from Dubai to the UK on Friday.
Metropolitan Police confirmed the charge, stating that Bettamio is scheduled to appear at Westminster Magistrates' Court on Saturday. Ms. Thiamphanit, also known as Angela, held dual Chinese-Hong Kong and Thai nationality and had resided in the UK for approximately nine years, initially for university studies.
Police discovered Ms. Thiamphanit with multiple stab wounds at her Westminster residence on 8 April 2024. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Detective Chief Inspector Alison Foxwell, leading the investigation, conveyed her gratitude to Ms. Thiamphanit's family and friends for their support during what she described as an "incredibly difficult and distressing time." The family has been informed of the latest development and continues to receive assistance from specialist officers.
