Father to Face Trial for Minnie Merriman Murder After Arbroath Incident

Andrew Merriman, a 41-year-old man from West Yorkshire, has been formally indicted on a murder charge following the death of his nine-year-old daughter, Minnie Merriman. The charges stem from an incident in October of last year in Arbroath, Scotland, where Minnie was found with severe injuries at an industrial estate.

Emergency services responded to a distress call from the town's Elliot Industrial Estate. Minnie Merriman was transported to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee for urgent medical attention but tragically succumbed to her injuries a short time later.

Mr Merriman was initially taken into police custody and charged in connection with his daughter's death. He has since been remanded in custody as the legal proceedings continue. The Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service has confirmed the indictment and the impending trial.
