Five-Year-Old Jaxon Praised for Calling 999 After Mother's Collapse in West Midlands

A five-year-old boy in the West Midlands has been commended for his calm and effective response after his mother suffered a sudden medical emergency at their home. Jaxon dialled 999 and clearly communicated the situation to emergency operators, enabling an ambulance to be dispatched swiftly.

Jaxon's mother, who has requested anonymity, reportedly collapsed and lost consciousness. Her son's ability to locate her phone, unlock it, and articulate the emergency to the call handler proved critical. He provided accurate details of his mother's condition and their address, facilitating a rapid response from paramedics.

West Midlands Police presented Jaxon with an award for his bravery. A spokesperson for the force highlighted the importance of teaching children how to react in emergencies, noting that Jaxon's actions were exemplary and directly contributed to his mother receiving timely medical care.
