Burleigh Pottery has confirmed its acquisition by a group of investors, including former Burberry Group chief executive Christopher Bailey. This development guarantees uninterrupted production at its Middleport Pottery site in Stoke-on-Trent.

Founded in 1851, Burleigh, also known as Burgess and Leigh, maintains an artisanal approach to ceramics, notably employing a hand-applied tissue transfer printing technique. Denby Pottery, Burleigh's previous owner, entered administration on 31 March due to escalating energy and labour expenses, resulting in over 130 job losses. The final piece from Denby's production was signed by Richard Eaton, the designer behind the range.
