Four Arrested Following Violent Disorder Near Pontypool, Two Hospitalised Critically

Four men have been taken into custody following an outbreak of violent disorder in New Inn, near Pontypool. Gwent Police reported three men were hospitalised as a result of the incident, with two currently in a critical condition.

Emergency services, including police and paramedics, were dispatched to the New Inn area on Thursday afternoon. The area around The Highway and Green Willows was cordoned off for several hours as officers conducted enquiries.

A significant police presence remained throughout the evening, with traffic diversions put in place to manage disruption. Detectives are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information, including CCTV or dashcam footage, to come forward as their investigation into the exact circumstances continues.
