Four Men Die in West Yorkshire Collision, Families Pay Tributes
Four men have been confirmed dead following a road traffic collision in West Yorkshire late on Friday. The victims have been identified as Jack Diggle, 26, Benjamin Dooley, 25, Andrew Roberts, 45, and Craig Shackleton-Brady, 37. All four were pronounced dead at the scene on the A638 at Chains Road, following the incident which occurred shortly after 22:30 BST.
The collision involved a grey Polaris Ranger all-terrain vehicle and a grey quad bike. Emergency services responded to reports of a serious road traffic incident. West Yorkshire Police's Major Collision Enquiry Team has launched an investigation to ascertain the full circumstances leading to the fatalities.
Family members of the deceased have released statements expressing their grief. Mr Diggle's family described him as a "loving son, father, brother, and uncle," highlighting his "larger-than-life personality." Mr Dooley's family remembered him as a "much-loved son, brother, grandson, and uncle," stating he would be "greatly missed." Mr Roberts' family spoke of him as a "much-loved son, brother, dad, and uncle," while Mr Shackleton-Brady's family described him as a "much-loved son, brother, dad, and uncle," adding he was a "true gentle giant."
Detectives are appealing for any witnesses who may have seen either vehicle in the area prior to the collision or who have dashcam footage that could assist their enquiries. Information can be provided directly to the Major Collision Enquiry Team.
