Fundraiser Exceeds £100,000 for Three-Year-Old Injured by Crocodile at Johnsons of Old Hurst
More than £100,000 has been raised for a three-year-old boy who suffered injuries in a crocodile enclosure at Johnsons of Old Hurst in Huntingdonshire. The incident took place in June, leading to a significant public response to the family's plight.
The boy required extensive surgery following the attack. His family confirmed he sustained a broken arm and serious damage to his hand.
The crocodile involved was subsequently rehomed from the farm. A joint investigation into the circumstances of the incident remains underway, involving Huntingdonshire District Council and Cambridgeshire Constabulary.
Johnsons of Old Hurst, which operates a farm shop and a small animal attraction, stated its full cooperation with the authorities. The facility’s 'Croc-Box' exhibit, where the incident occurred, houses various reptiles and exotic animals.
