Funeral Director Robert Bush Held Baby Remains on Floor for Two Years
A funeral director, Robert Bush, retained a baby's remains on the floor of a funeral home for two years, according to an ongoing investigation. This revelation follows allegations from bereaved parents who claim they were given the wrong ashes from his establishment.
Reports indicate that a baby, referred to as Baby A, died in 2020. Their remains were found by police on the floor of one of Bush's funeral homes in early 2023. This discovery emerged during an investigation into Bush and his associated companies, Robert Bush Funeral Directors and Legacy Independent Funeral Directors, based in Hull.
Bereaved families have provided tearful testimonies detailing their experiences. One mother recounted receiving a box of ashes that she believed belonged to her daughter, only to be informed later that the ashes were not those of her child.
The current legal proceedings involve Bush, who is accused of neglecting his duties as a funeral director. The investigation continues to uncover further details regarding the handling of human remains at his facilities.
