
Glasgow Patient Dies, Three Paramedics Injured After Ambulance Collides With Car
A patient in an ambulance died in hospital after the vehicle was involved in a crash with a car on Balmore Road, Glasgow, on Tuesday evening.
Police Scotland reported that officers attended the scene around 21:00. The patient, who was being conveyed to Glasgow Royal Infirmary, later died due to a "medical matter."
The collision also resulted in injuries to two Scottish Ambulance Service personnel and a student paramedic. The ambulance workers were taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, while the student paramedic was transported to Glasgow Royal Infirmary.
Police arrested the 49-year-old male driver of the car in connection with a road traffic offence. Inquiries into the incident are ongoing.
