Zack Polanski, co-leader of the Green Party, has confirmed his bid to become the Member of Parliament for Holborn and St Pancras. The by-election will be triggered by the departure of former Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer from the seat.

Mr Polanski currently serves as a London Assembly Member, a position he has held since 2021. His announcement signals the Green Party's direct challenge for a constituency historically held by Labour.

Sir Keir Starmer's decision to vacate his parliamentary seat after being elevated to the House of Lords has created this electoral vacancy. He represented Holborn and St Pancras since 2015.
