Green Party Co-Leader Zack Polanski Confirms Candidacy for Holborn and St Pancras By-Election
Zack Polanski, the Green Party’s Co-Leader, has confirmed he will stand as a candidate in the forthcoming by-election for Holborn and St Pancras. The contest follows the resignation of Sir Keir Starmer from his parliamentary position.
Mr Polanski currently serves as a London Assembly Member and is the Green Party's national spokesperson for Policing and Mental Health. He has previously stood for the party in parliamentary elections for the Cities of London and Westminster constituency in 2017 and 2019.
The Holborn and St Pancras constituency, a long-held Labour stronghold, will vote following Sir Keir Starmer's departure to become the Secretary General of NATO. Mr Polanski's candidacy represents the Green Party's effort to increase its representation in Parliament beyond its single current MP.
