Heathrow Engineer Georgie Buxton Dies After Sustaining Injuries During Virgin Jet Maintenance

A Virgin Atlantic engineer, Georgie Buxton, has passed away following an accident at Heathrow Airport. Ms Buxton sustained fatal injuries while working on a Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft.

The Metropolitan Police confirmed her death and stated that officers were called to a report of an injured woman at the airport on Sunday, 12th November, at approximately 11:30 GMT. Despite receiving medical attention at the scene, she was pronounced dead.

Investigators are currently examining the specifics of the incident. A spokesperson for Virgin Atlantic expressed profound sadness at Ms Buxton's death, noting she was a valued member of their engineering team. The airline is providing support to her family and colleagues.
