
ICE Fatally Shoots Lorenzo Salgado Araujo in Houston, Missed Intended Target
Lorenzo Salgado Araujo, 46, was fatally shot by US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents in Houston. Officials from the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) have since confirmed that Mr Salgado Araujo was not the target of the operation.
The incident occurred on Tuesday when ICE agents stopped a vehicle. Authorities stated that Mr Salgado Araujo was armed, leading to agents discharging their firearms. No agents were injured during the encounter.
A spokesperson for ICE revealed that agents were attempting to apprehend a different individual during the traffic stop.
