
Isaac Clare-Watts Murder Accused Appears in Court Over Nine Ladies Stone Circle Death
Derbyshire Police have charged a 25-year-old man, Ethan Brookes, with murder in connection with the death of Isaac Clare-Watts. Mr. Brookes, of Kings Road, South Normanton, appeared before magistrates on Monday, 24 June.
Mr. Clare-Watts, aged 20, was pronounced dead after officers responded to an incident in the vicinity of the Nine Ladies Stone Circle, Stanton-in-the-Peak, shortly before midnight on Friday, 21 June. The area, known for its ancient monument, was cordoned off as part of the investigation.
Emergency services, including paramedics, were dispatched to the scene after reports of an injured man. Following a post-mortem examination, police confirmed the nature of Mr. Clare-Watts's death, though specific details have not been released.
Mr. Brookes has been remanded in custody and is scheduled to appear at Derby Crown Court later this week.
