James Desborough Convicted of Double Murder After Bodies Discovered in Hertfordshire Woodland

James Desborough, 30, has been convicted of the murders of Claudio Aquilino, 70, and Daniel Coleman, 30, following a trial at St Albans Crown Court. The bodies of both men were located in a secluded area of woodland in Hertfordshire in June 2023.

Desborough, of Brimsdown Avenue, Enfield, had previously admitted to two counts of preventing lawful burial. The court heard evidence detailing the discovery of the bodies, prompting an extensive police investigation.

Mr Aquilino, from Kilburn, London, and Mr Coleman, from Enfield, were both reported missing before their remains were found. The prosecution presented the case linking Desborough to the deaths and the subsequent concealment of the bodies.

Sentencing for James Desborough has been scheduled for a later date.
