
Kent Police Charge Two Men, Three Boys with Rape of Teenage Girl in Gravesend Property
Two men and three boys face charges following the alleged rape of a teenage girl in Gravesend. Kent Police initiated an investigation after reports of sexual offences at a property on Salisbury Road, occurring between 25 March and 19 April.
Ionut Dobre, 33, from Woolwich, has been charged with rape. Two 16-year-old boys and a 15-year-old boy, all from Gravesend, also face rape charges. Benone Inofte, 46, of Salisbury Road, is charged with aiding and abetting a rape.
The accused appeared at Medway Magistrates' Court on Friday and are due to appear at Woolwich Crown Court on 22 May. Police confirmed that several sexual offences are alleged to have been committed over the specified period.
Four of those charged, including both men, are Romanian nationals. One of the 16-year-old boys is a British national. Both men remain in custody, while two of the boys have been remanded into youth detention. The third boy is under the care of the local authority.
