Kent Police Investigate Fatal Collision Killing Steven Anscomb and Natasha Lewis Near Gravesend

Steven Anscomb, 60, and Natasha Lewis, 51, were pronounced dead at the scene following a road traffic collision near Gravesend on Sunday. The incident involved the two cyclists and a silver car, occurring on the A226 Old Dover Road at approximately 09:45 BST.

Kent Police stated that emergency services attended the scene at the junction with Thong Lane. The driver of the car, a 28-year-old man, was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and has since been released on bail pending further enquiries.

Family tributes have been released for both victims. Mr Anscomb’s family described him as an “amazing husband and father” who was “kind, caring and always there” for his loved ones. Ms Lewis’s family remembered her as a “much-loved wife, mum, and grandma” who was “caring, vivacious, and loved by so many”.

Kent Police’s serious collision investigation unit is appealing for witnesses, particularly anyone who saw the cyclists or the silver car in the moments leading up to the collision. They have also requested dashcam footage that may assist their investigation.
