Lincolnshire Police Charge 35-Year-Old Man with Murder of Nine-Year-Old Girl

Peter Houghton, 35, has been charged with the murder of nine-year-old Lilia Valutyte, Lincolnshire Police confirmed. The charge follows an incident on a Boston industrial estate on Sunday, 28 July, which resulted in the girl's death.

Mr Houghton, who resided at an address known to Lilia, is set to appear before Lincoln Magistrates' Court today to face the charge. The police investigation is ongoing, with authorities stating they are not seeking any further suspects in connection with the case.

Emergency services were called to the industrial estate after reports of a serious incident. Lilia Valutyte was pronounced dead at the scene. The community in Boston has expressed profound distress following the girl's death.
