Llanelli Police Arrest 56-Year-Old After Alleged Pub Assault Leaves Centenarian Critical

A 102-year-old man is in a critical state after an alleged assault at a pub in Llanelli, Carmarthenshire. Dyfed-Powys Police confirmed the arrest of a 56-year-old Llanelli man on suspicion of grievous bodily harm following the incident.

The reported assault occurred at the Llanelli comets RFC clubhouse on New Dock Road on Saturday, 26 August. Emergency services were called to the premises at approximately 23:45 BST.

The elderly man was transported to Morriston Hospital in Swansea for urgent medical attention, where he remains in a critical condition.

Police have initiated an investigation and are appealing for any witnesses or individuals with information regarding the incident to come forward. The arrested man is currently in police custody as enquiries continue into the circumstances surrounding the alleged assault.
