Simon Levy Given Whole Life Sentence for Double Murder and Rape in Tottenham
Simon Levy, aged 37, has been handed a whole life sentence after being convicted of the murders of two women and the rape of a third individual. The Old Bailey heard that Levy, from Tottenham, north London, will serve the remainder of his life in prison for his crimes.
The court was told that Levy murdered 52-year-old Willow Chin and 51-year-old Karen Welsh in separate incidents. He also committed the rape of a third woman.
Ms Chin's body was discovered at her home in Tottenham on 17 December 2023. Ms Welsh's remains were found at her property, also in Tottenham, on 25 January 2024.
The judicial decision underscores the gravity of Levy's actions, ensuring he will never be released. The Metropolitan Police led the investigation into these violent offences.
