
Man and Woman Die After Rescue From Cornwall Coastline
A man and a woman have died after being recovered from the sea off the Cornish coast. The incident occurred near Watergate Bay, north of Newquay, with emergency services responding to reports of two individuals in difficulty in the water.
Devon and Cornwall Police confirmed that both the man and woman were pronounced deceased at the scene by paramedics. Their next of kin have been informed regarding the tragedy.
Coastguard rescue teams from Padstow and Newquay, along with the Newquay RNLI lifeboat, were involved in the rescue operation. A helicopter from the Maritime and Coastguard Agency also attended the incident.
