Man Arrested After Nine-Year-Old Girl Dies in Arbroath Industrial Estate

A man has been taken into custody following the death of a nine-year-old girl found injured in Arbroath. Officers were dispatched to Elliot Industrial Estate in the Angus town just after midnight on Saturday, 17th August.

Emergency services, including police and paramedics, responded to reports of a child found with serious injuries. The girl was pronounced deceased at the scene. Police Scotland stated that a man is assisting with enquiries.

Forensic investigators remain at the industrial estate, which has been cordoned off as a crime scene. Local residents have expressed shock at the incident in the usually quiet area.
